A*STAR Computational Resource Centre (A*CRC)manages, maintains and operates the computational resources for the entire A*STAR research community of ~5000 researchers, supporting the daily needs of over eight hundred users and helps plan for the future needs and procurements of A*STAR HPC resources. Currently A*CRC manages several hardware platforms, with the combined computing power of over 220 TFLOPS, and a growing storage resources of approximately 5000 TBytes capacity to store computational results and experimental data. We welcome you to apply to the following 2 positions in Singapore: 1) SENIOR HPC SOFTWARE ANALYST We are looking for a HPC Software Expert to work in one or more of the following areas: ?Optimisation and performance tuning of scientific and technical codes on parallel architectures and specialized hardware ?Algorithmic development, memory and communication strategies for common scientific problems ?User education in porting the codes to massively parallel system, performance diagnostics, optimization, tuning and parallel software languages and tools ?Writing of internal user guides and course material ?Presentation of results at seminars and meetings Requirements Academic: ?At least Bachelor?s with Honours degree in Applied or Numerical Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer or Computational Engineering/Science, Electrical Engineering or similar. PhD degree holders are welcome to apply. Technical: Candidate must demonstrate solid expertise in the first two of the of the following areas, and working knowledge in at least two other following areas: ?Expert knowledge of Linux, FORTRAN and C/C++, ?Knowledge and demonstrated experience of parallel computing software tools and methodologies (i.e. MPI, OpenMP), ?Common compilers ?Understanding and knowledge of mathematical libraries ?HPC performance parameters, system level and program level optimisation, load and load balancing, scheduling and schedulers (Platform LSF and SLURM knowledge ? an advantage) ?Parallel debuggers ?Optimisation concepts and optimisation tools ?GPU programming ?HPC benchmarking ?Scientific or engineering computing methodologies (linear algebra, deterministic, stochastic, quantum mechanics or computational chemistry, CFD, structural engineering, genomics, bioinformatics or other). Position Summary: The UNM Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC), University of New Mexico's supercomputer center, is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Analyst to join our technical staff. This will be a shared position with the Department of Psychology and its Clinical Neurosciences Center, and will have its administrative home in CARC. Responsibilities will include advanced systems analysis and optimization, collaboration with technical staff and faculty on design recommendations and hardware purchase specifications; systems support for diverse multi-user systems, including operating systems; hardware and software tools; router, switch, and firewall configuration; backup and security; support for diverse platforms including PC and Mac desktops/laptops; workstations, file, web, database, and mail servers; departmental servers and compute clusters; support for teleconferencing, visualization, and neuroscience research equipment (EEG, eye trackers, and brain stimulation equipment), including cross-departmental and cross-campus systems and software integration; and the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems at CARC and Psychology. Must be able to work flexibly, and as a team member, in a complex, fast-changing environment. This is a growth position, with opportunities for a highly-motivated person to gain additional experience in large-scale parallel systems, programming, and GPU-based computing platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Familiarity with, and in-depth expertise in administering network services, including DNS, NIS, DHCP, TFTP, NFS, NFS over Infiniband, etc.
Ability to clearly and carefully document work in progress, and to prepare and present technical reports summarizing project outcomes and/or procedures.

Working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language and scripting language.
