CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 14 – ProfitBricks, the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) company that completely reengineered the delivery of cloud computing, today announced the nationwide availability of the ProfitBricks Foundation Program for startups. Qualifying startups are eligible to receive ProfitBricks' virtual data centers, featuring the industry's first user-defined network configurations, at a considerably reduced cost for one year. ProfitBricks launched the Foundation Program to New England-area startups in December and is now offering the same incentives to startups across the United States.

Eligible startups include those with at least one U.S. office and revenue of less than $1 million per year. These companies will receive 20 percent off of their IaaS services from ProfitBricks for one year and have access to a cloud server from ProfitBricks for one year without cost.

Researchers from the Suddhananda Engineering and Research Centre in Bhubaneswar, India developed a job scheduling system, which they call Service Level Agreement (SLA) scheduling, that is meant to achieve acceptable methods of resource provisioning similar to that of potential in-house systems. Datapipe markets Stratosphere as a green HPC cloud service and in doing so partnering with Verne Global and their Icelandic datacenter, which is known for its propensity in green computing.
