Cleversafe Launches Solution Network for Big Data Storage

CHICAGO, Ill., Feb. 4 – Cleversafe Inc., the solution for limitless data storage, today announced the formation of The Cleversafe Solution Network designed to provide customers with a comprehensive ecosystem offering the most cost-effective, scalable and highly available end-to-end storage solutions to address today’s business requirements now and well into the future.

“Innovation, execution and technology leadership are at the center of everything we do. The formation of The Cleversafe Solution Network carries that mission forward,” said Russ Kennedy, Vice President of Product Strategy, Marketing and Customer Solutions for Cleversafe. “We recognize the benefits that joint technology partnerships can bring to customers and so we’ve engaged with ‘best-in-class’ providers to build our Solution Network,” said Kennedy. “Together we’ll solve today’s storage challenges, and build new business opportunities and long-term partnerships that will enable us to deliver comprehensive, proven technology solutions to our shared markets.”

"Customers inherently buy storage platforms to store data from a wide variety of applications, all focused on delivering business value. The problem is that not all application vendors are interoperable or are integrated in such a way that companies can easily fold their storage strategy together to solve the challenges associated with today's data growth," said Deni Connor, Founding Analyst at Storage Strategies NOW. "What Cleversafe has done with its Solution Network is to gather all of the industry vendors that are most relevant to customers today and that collectively offer an easy and very direct path to be able to adopt an object-storage strategy."

Cleversafe’s expansive Solution Network consists of leading partners providing:

Cloud Interface – Partners including Gladinet, Mezeo, Panzura, Solid Instance, and WebDrive from South River Technologies provide traditional cloud access to customer’s applications, while enabling customers to take advantage of Cleversafe’s cost effective, highly reliable and available storage system for cloud storage.

Content Management – Today’s businesses run 24/7. To be most effective, employees more than ever before, are embracing new technologies for collaboration. They’re sharing content in virtualized environments and accessing that information from a wide variety of mobile devices and workstations- wherever, whenever. At the same time, employers are charged with safeguarding certain content in order to meet compliance guidelines. Content management partners, such as DeJarnette Research Systems, Microsoft SharePoint and Panzura, enable customers to efficiently and securely manage content while taking advantage of Cleversafe’s storage platform to scale and support their ever-growing data requirements.

Big Data Analytics – Partners including Cloudera and IBM provide customers the ability to analyze large data sets and perform sophisticated analytics—typically using Hadoop or an equivalent distributed data analysis application.

Systems Integrators - Solution Network Systems Integrators such as Lockheed Martin provide implementation and associated professional services for the Federal and Defense industries.

Data Backup – In order to maintain the critical function of data backup and protect information for disaster recovery while maintaining business continuity Cleversafe has teamed and integrated with leading vendors CommVault and Symantec.

File Access and Tiered Storage - The need to store, access and manage large-scale storage sets is becoming ever more critical as more data is accessed more often. Working with File Access and cloud gateway vendor companies such as Panzura and QStar Technologies, Cleversafe’s object-based dispersed storage system can assist users and administrators to easily and actively store, search and retrieve data within an archive, while maintaining availability of data.

Operating Systems – At their very core, operating systems provide a context within which programs can be created and run. They are a fundamental component to any infrastructure environment whether physical or virtual. Cleversafe’s Operating System partners include Microsoft and VMware, two of the most significant operating system organizations to ensure that customers can quickly and easily deploy solutions, expand their service offerings and extend their environments to meet the demands of their users.

Network Optimization – In order to move more data across data centers and to remote office locations while maintaining application performance, Cleversafe has teamed with partners like Riverbed and F5 to provide intelligent load balancing, big data traffic management and WAN optimization. The result is Cleversafe and its Network Optimization partners are bridging the gap and moving from traditional to dynamic infrastructures by increasing the flexibility between users and resources and enabling IT organizations to efficiently scale their storage solutions and maintain network performance.

Hardware OEMs and Technologies – Cleversafe’s partners in this area include the industry’s most reliable, energy efficient, and cost efficient computing solutions to deliver the highest levels of performance. Partners including Intel and Seagate, deliver the physical components and associated hardware to provide customers with the platform and infrastructure they need to deploy and utilize Cleversafe’s dsNet storage solution.

In addition to the significant industry advantages offered by collaborating with Cleversafe, the company’s Solution Network includes a “self-certification” that ensures third-party application interoperability and support; providing assurance to customers of an optimized solution that meets or exceeds their operational needs.

Cleversafe’s dsNet system protects both data and metadata equally and is inherently more reliable than traditional storage systems. By applying the company’s unique Information Dispersal technology to slice and disperse data, single points of failure and centralized synchronization points are eliminated. As data is distributed evenly across all Slicestor nodes metadata can scale linearly and infinitely as new nodes are added, thus reducing any scalability bottlenecks and increasing performance and reliability. Cleversafe’s unique approach delivers the powerful combination of analytics and storage in a geographically distributed single system allowing organizations to efficiently scale their Big Data environments to hundreds of petabytes and even exabytes today.

About Cleversafe Inc.

Cleversafe has created a breakthrough technology that solves petabyte and beyond big data storage problems. This solution drives up to 90 percent of the storage cost out of the business while enabling secure and reliable global access and collaboration. The world's largest data repositories rely on Cleversafe.
