Proxios Achieves Cisco Cloud Provider Certification


RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 15 – To support the expanding role of the network in deploying cloud services, Proxios announced today it has achieved the Cisco Cloud Provider Certification with a Cisco Powered Cloud Service designation.

The Cisco Cloud Provider Certification recognizes Proxios' investment in building, owning and operating its own cloud platform in order to provide a wide range of hosted services in a multi-tenanted environment to its end clients. Additionally, as a Cisco Powered Cloud Service provider, Proxios' platform is deployed using a Cisco validated infrastructure.

"We are very pleased to have earned this recognition by Cisco following an intensive audit of our cloud infrastructure and the processes we have in place to insure the performance and security of our clients' applications," said Patrick Butler, Vice President of Operations.

The Cisco Cloud Partner Program empowers channel partners to build end-to-end cloud solutions and professional services practices based on Cisco cloud computing infrastructure. This program offers training based on Cisco best practices, tools, intellectual property as well as on-on-one mentoring to help channel partners as they enhance their competencies in selling and Implementing cloud services.

Jun 06, 2013 | The San Diego Supercomputer Center launched a public cloud system for universities in the area designed specifically to run on commodity hardware with high performance solid-state drives. The center, which currently holds 5.5 PB of raw storage, is open to educational and research users in the University of California.
