nCircle Announces Automated EC2 Security via PureCloud


SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 7 – nCircle, the leader in information risk and security performance management, today announced automated cloud security scanning for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) networks in nCircle PureCloud. This new innovation is included at no additional cost and enables PureCloud customers to secure cloud deployments in the same way on-premise networks are secured.

Microsoft predicts SMB adoption of cloud services will triple in 2013. nCircle PureCloud is the only vulnerability management solution that makes it possible for customers to evaluate the security of their Amazon cloud deployments without manual identification of each machine instance, saving users time and increasing accuracy.

  • No manual scan configuration is required – target host information is automatically retrieved via the Amazon Web Services (AWS) API
  • No need to manually enter host IPs that may change as instances are provisioned and de-provisioned – scan configurations and hosts are automatically updated
  • Leverages AWS minimal access credentials to retrieve target host information to maintain security
  • Cloud security can be managed with the same tools used to manage the cloud environment
