Treasure Data, Indicee Simplify Big Data in the Cloud

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., and VANCOUVER, BC, Nov. 20 – Indicee Inc., the leading cloud business intelligence platform, and Treasure Data, the cloud data warehousing platform, announced their partnership today to deliver interactive big data analysis to the cloud. Together, both platforms enable companies to simplify and reduce the deployment, querying and discovery of Big Data to minutes rather than days, with no need for IT specialists. Companies can store and manage petabytes of data, customize deep data queries and interact with their data, faster.

"At Treasure Data, we knew we had a powerful platform that would bring the power of Big Data analysis to any organization big or small," said Hironobu Yoshikawa, Founder and CEO of Treasure Data. "Once our customers were able to control and manage their data, they needed to be able to interact with that data in different ways so that it could be leveraged across the company to answer business questions. Indicee and Treasure Data deliver that complete end-to-end solution so companies can get to their data immediately and start receiving the answers they need within minutes."

Treasure Data's power is in the ability to store and analyze petabytes of data; while the Indicee platform provides the self-service data aggregation and visualization tools so that business users can slice, dice and present that data in a meaningful way. Indicee's self-service business intelligence (BI) frontend is the perfect complement to Treasure Data's Big Data backend. Indicee enables deeper analysis of data without waiting for MapReduce jobs to complete. Now, data streamed and archived into Treasure Data is set for periodic jobs. The results are aggregated in multiple dimensions and stored in Indicee where business users can generate customized reports and create key dashboards to interactively navigate the data, without the need for a query language.

"There is a lot of hype out there about Big Data and the hurdles that prevent companies from getting the most out of their data. Our partnership with Treasure Data makes the promise of Big Data obtainable for any organization. With Treasure Data and Indicee, you can focus on the data, discovery and results without worrying about the backend," said Mark Cunningham, CEO of Indicee. "We are excited to work with Treasure Data as they continue to solve Big Data problems in a way that truly serves the market."

With customers ranging from social selling start-ups, through online gaming leaders to global corporations, the Treasure Data Cloud Data Warehouse is already hosting over 100 billion rows of live data and is processing 10,000 new messages per second. Treasure Data was founded by some of the smartest engineering minds in the open source world and is backed by leading angel investors from the venture capital, open source and enterprise software markets.

About Indicee

Backed by Granite Ventures and Yaletown Ventures, Indicee's cloud business intelligence (BI) platform was built from the ground up by industry visionaries from Crystal Services and Business Objects. The team's mission is to put BI into the hands of business users who are currently prevented from getting to the information they need by overly complex, IT-led software.

By leveraging the power and agility of the Indicee platform, the team is transforming the way BI is designed and delivered through a series of extensible analytics apps for the enterprise, and the "Powered by Indicee" partner program; the first, true white-labeling program for cloud-based analytics of its kind. Indicee's flagship customers include: Brown-Forman, Medtronic, OpSource and SlideRocket.
