StratusLab Version 2.0 Released

July 26 — The StratusLab project is proud to announce the release of StratusLab 2.0, the complete, open-source solution for deploying an "Infrastructure as a Service" (Iaas) cloud.

The StratusLab distribution consists of a set of integrated tools for your IaaS cloud infrastructures, including the Registration Web Application, Marketplace, Persistent Storage Service, Web Monitor, OpenNebula, OpenNebula Proxy, StratusLab OpenNebula extensions and drivers, Claudia and a suite of end-user and System Administrator command-line clients.

StratusLab 2.0 is the twelfth public release and has been field tested by large numbers of users, giving us the confidence that it will continue to meet the expectations of our users for production use.

Key features of StratusLab v2.0

  • Second major release of the StratusLab Distribution, consolidating the functionality enhancements and bug-fixes over the last year
  • Integration of OpenNebula 3.2
  • Support for cloud federation
  • Fully tested with IPv6

Open-source StratusLab community

The StratusLab Distribution has been co-funded by the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme, but it is now moving to a fully community-driven development model. You can get the code at https://github.com/stratuslab, and discuss features in the StratusLab User Forum.
