New reference architecture helps enterprises quickly build business-relevant private and hybrid clouds
BURLINGTON, Mass., June 11 — DynamicOps, pioneer of the Operations Virtualization platform that enables unified cloud automation and management, announced today that it has joined the Intel Cloud Builders Program, which publishes best practices, blueprints and software architectures on how to deploy cloud infrastructures. The DynamicOps-Intel Reference Architecture, published as part of the program, demonstrates how to build private and hybrid cloud solutions using the DynamicOps Cloud Suite and Dell servers powered by Intel Xeon 5600 processors.
"IT consumers are demanding self-service access to resources with delivery measured in minutes, not days, while their IT organizations are increasingly looking to cloud automation solutions to help them respond to these accelerated demands. By joining the Intel Cloud Builders program and publishing our reference architecture, we're giving enterprise IT organizations the information they need to rapidly configure and deploy business-relevant private clouds that leverage their existing IT investments, processes and skill sets," said Rich Bourdeau, VP Marketing, DynamicOps.
"We are pleased to welcome DynamicOps into the Intel Cloud Builders program with the publication of their reference architecture," said Billy Cox, director, Cloud Computing, Intel Corporation. "DynamicOps' detailed guide to the creation of a private or hybrid cloud is an important addition to the Intel Cloud Builders library of reference architectures designed to help IT organizations extend their infrastructure into an enterprise-scale cloud environment."
DynamicOps' reference architecture demonstrates a variety of use cases for designing and deploying cloud, including configuring enterprise groups, reserving resources for a provisioning group, establishing global service blueprints, self-service provisioning of compute services, ongoing management of cloud resources, resource reclamation, capacity planning, and cost-transparency and chargeback. By using this reference architecture, enterprises will gain a better understanding of how to build a highly scalable, business-relevant private or hybrid cloud, at a fraction of the typical cost and time.
