RightScale Support for HP Cloud Services to Deliver Multi-Cloud Management for Enterprises

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April 10 — RightScale Inc., the leader in cloud computing management, today announced the company will support Hewlett-Packard's Cloud Services by offering the HP Cloud as one of the public cloud choices available for management with RightScale.

HP Cloud Services announced the public beta availability of their cloud infrastructure, platform services and cloud solutions for developers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and businesses. RightScale cloud management will provide automation and scalability to easily manage HP cloud infrastructure, while providing customers unified access and choice through one dashboard for public and private clouds. A recent study of RightScale customers found that multi-cloud usage is accelerating among businesses. In fact, 87 percent of compute power managed through the RightScale platform comes from companies that utilize multiple clouds.

"As the public cloud becomes an increasingly important mainstream enterprise deployment option, questions of management and process become more critical," said Stephen O'Grady, principal analyst and co-founder of RedMonk. "The combination of HP Cloud Services and RightScale aims to address both of those needs."

"As more enterprises embrace cloud technology, HP Cloud Services will provide an important infrastructure choice based on HP's world-class hardware, software, and global support infrastructure" said Bailey Caldwell, vice president of business development for RightScale. "Through this partnership, RightScale customers will have access to HP Cloud Services offering superior support and service. In addition, HP customers will have access to RightScale cloud management for rapid onboarding and increased automation at scale.

HP customers will also be able to utilize the RightScale MultiCloud Marketplace, which includes a library of pre-built cloud ServerTemplates™, scripts and architectures published by RightScale, ISV and SI partners. All of the pre-built configurations are fully customizable and provide a variety of solutions ranging from standard application stacks to middleware components to database solutions.

HP Public Cloud Services is based on HP hardware and software combined with a developer-friendly integration of OpenStack Cloud technology. RightScale currently supports six public cloud partners and three private cloud software providers, including OpenStack Cloud, Citrix CloudStack and Eucalyptus to deliver a comprehensive multi-cloud management offering.
