In a traditional enterprise IT environment, best practices call for not deleting a file permanently. Any IT manager who has been in charge of storage infrastructure knows that the accidental deletion of important data is the most common storage problem. When a copy of the deleted file still exists, the accidentally deleted file can be recovered. Nevertheless, keeping copies of deleted files can cost an organization money and may pose other risks, such as legal liabilities.

In this Webinar, storage expert, blogger and editor Stephen Foskett joins Nasuni CEO Andres Rodriguez to discuss the dilemma of deletion as it relates to the cloud. A long-time voice in the storage industry, Stephen has authored numerous articles for industry publications, and is a popular presenter at industry events. His contributions to the enterprise IT community have earned him recognition as both a Microsoft MVP and VMware vExpert.

Andres Rodriguez is the CEO of Nasuni. His previous company, Archivas, developed an enterprise-class cloud storage system and was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems in 2006. After the acquisition, Andres became Hitachi’s CTO of File Services, supporting the worldwide rollout of the Archivas-based Hitachi Content Archive Platform (HCAP).
