Lockheed Speeds Geospatial Ops w/ Digipede


OAKLAND Calif., Dec. 10 -- Digipede Technologies, the leading provider of distributed computing solutions for the Microsoft Windows platform, announced that Lockheed Martin, a global security company, has grid-enabled its TOPSCENE mission rehearsal applications using the Digipede Network. The grid-enabled version of TOPSCENE will soon be installed at the Naval Strike Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV, resulting in a dramatic increase in the speed and throughput of complex calculations required to produce accurate terrain maps for three-dimensional scene creation.

This changes the game for us -- we're able to process more terrain with greater accuracy and speed. This is a significant benefit for the operational user."
