International Supercomputing Conference Calls for Posters, BoFs, Student Volunteers

Submission deadline is Monday, April 9

HAMBURG, Germany, Jan. 24 --The 2012 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC'12) is now accepting submissions for Birds-of-a-Feather sessions and research posters. The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday, April 9.

ISC'12, the 27th conference in the series, will be held June 17-21 in Hamburg. This year's conference is expected to draw 2,400 attendees from academia, research institutions and industry around the world. An estimated 160 leading organizations will showcase their products and research in the ISC exhibition.

The conference is also inviting undergraduate and graduate students to participate as student volunteers. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 2.

Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) Sessions

BoFs provide opportunities for ISC attendees with common interests to come together for informal discussions and for sharing new ideas and information on HPC topics. Each 45-minute session addresses a different topic and is led by one or more individuals with expertise in this area. The BoF sessions are open to all ISC participants, including exhibitors, and will be held June 18, 19 and 20. Learn more about ISC'12 BoFs.

Research Posters

The Research Poster Session is an excellent opportunity for presenting latest research results, new projects and innovations. For the Research Poster Session, submissions are invited in the following areas:

Architectures
Storage & Data
Algorithms & Analysis
Future Trends
Large Scale Simulations
Other innovative aspects of HPC

Student Volunteers

Participating in ISC'12 as a student volunteer is a great opportunity to learn about the most important developments in the HPC field. Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply as student volunteers to help run the conference. Student volunteers will receive conference registration, access to the exhibits, meals during conference hours and hotel accommodations (out-of-town volunteers only), but are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference.
