Nicole Hemsoth, HPC in the Cloud Managing Editor

Nicole has spent the last ten years managing her own agency that caters to the research, marketing communications, and technical writing needs of organizations across several industries. She has drafted numerous white papers, case studies, and viability studies related to harnessing the power of the cloud and communications technologies.

She has also spent considerable time writing and performing technology-related research for firms seeking to reach new audiences using innovative communications technologies in the cloud. She is currently working on a book that discusses the use of the cloud and new communications technologies to create working environments. While Nicole's background is in English Literature, her focus has remained on technological developments and their practical applications.

Tiffany Trader, HPC in the Cloud Associate Editor

Tiffany Trader is the associate editor for HPC in the Cloud. She received a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University, where she studied Linguistics and Computer Science. A self-described "linguaphile" and grammarian, Tiffany has been with Tabor Communications for over three years. In her free time, she can be found on her yoga mat or walking her three dogs.

Tom Tabor
Publisher, HPC in the Cloud

Tom is a publisher of HPC in the Cloud and has served as publisher for GRIDtoday, High Performance Computing - Contributions to Society (1996), The Emergence of Grid and Service-Oriented IT (2006), as well as producing a series of Grid VIP Summits worldwide. Tom was formerly the publisher of the award winning Supercomputing Review magazine, and has over 30 years of experience in business-to-business publishing, with the last 22 years focused primarily on High Productivity Computing (HPC) technologies.

Tom has been internationally acknowledged as a pioneer in the electronic publishing industry. In the late eighties Tom launched an Internet-based version of Supercomputing Review titled SUPERnet, the very first paid subscription, paid advertising internet publication, followed by the highly successful HPCwire in the early nineties.

Tom is a frequent speaker at global industry events. He has served as a leader and member of many committees and organizations including the Open Grid Forum's Awareness Council, SC Industrial Advisory Committee, Humanities Arts Social Sciences Awareness Council (HASTAC), the Institute for Computing in Humanities, Arts and Social Science (iCHASS) at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the San Diego Men's Leadership Forum. He also serves as a Board member of The National University Institute and is a past board member of The LUX Art Institute. In 2002, Tom was awarded the inaugural HPC Industry Recognition Award.

Tom was born on Guam and raised in Napa Valley, California. He did his undergraduate work in Political Science at University of California, Davis. Tom currently lives in La Jolla, California. He is an avid skier and weekend golfer.

Genia Kushner, Go-to-Market Strategist

Genia comes from Microsoft, where she worked as a Marketing Manager for the HPC group in Developer and Platform Evangelism Division. Prior to that Genia spent years in Windows-based Hosting and OEM Divisions developing and executing co-marketing programs with web hosting partners and OEM worldwide accounts, focusing primarily on Microsoft Server products. Prior to her employment at Microsoft, Genia worked in technology and telecommunications industries in the areas of sales and marketing.

Genia was born and raised in Russia. In 1995 she moved to Seattle, WA, where she currently resides. Genia graduated from Far Eastern State University in Vladivostok, Russia with Masters Degree in English and Literature.

Mitchell D. Becker, Senior Account Executive

Mitch Becker is a Senior Account Executive at Tabor Communications. He brings with him nineteen years of experience in marketing management, developing marketing strategies, organizing marketing events, promotions, and Public Relations.

Mitch is in charge of HPC in the Cloud's Job Bank and Events advertising sales.

In the past Mitch's roles included such positions as Director of Marketing, where he managed the inception and marketing promotion activities, advertising, web content, collateral, tradeshows, seminars, e-mail and direct mail campaigns and all lead generation activities and PR.

Mitch received his Bachelor of Science and Associates of Applied Science Degrees at Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale, IL.

Isaac Lopez, Director of Marketing & Audience Development

As Public Relations and Marketing professional, Isaac spent 10 years in technology industry. He joined Tabor Communications in 2007 as Marketing and Brand Manager and served as project manager for the HPCwire website redesign. In 2008 Isaac was promoted to the position of Marketing Director.

Before joining Tabor Communications Isaac worked as a Public Relations & Marketing account executive with Noblemen Communications, providing strategic and tactical marketing support for companies like Intel, Compaq, Sharp, Motorola, Etnus (now TotalView Technologies), Portland Group, WatchGuard Technologies, InterSect360 Research and others. Isaac's responsibilities included campaign planning, article pitching and placement, tactical execution of product launches, editorial product review programs, media tours, collateral building, podcast producing, and more ...

Isaac graduated in 1999 from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Public Relations.

Isaac currently resides in the Portland, Oregon area (Vancouver, WA) with his wife, 3 year old son, dog, cat - and a have baby due in September 2010. In his spare time he enjoys backpacking, snowboarding, cycling, photography, and the outdoors in general.

With over 10 years of administrative experience she has been instrumental in helping TCI achieve its yearly revenue goals.
