Tiffany Trader, Editor

Formerly Associate Editor for HPCwire and On-Demand Enterprise, Tiffany brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from HPC and technology publishing to HPC in the Cloud. Tiffany received a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, where she studied Linguistics and Computer Science. A self-described linguaphile and grammarian, Tiffany has been with Tabor Communications for over five years.

Tom Tabor
Publisher, HPC in the Cloud

Tom is a publisher of HPC in the Cloud and has served as publisher for GRIDtoday, High Performance Computing - Contributions to Society (1996), The Emergence of Grid and Service-Oriented IT (2006), as well as producing a series of Grid VIP Summits worldwide. Tom was formerly the publisher of the award winning Supercomputing Review magazine, and has over 35 years of experience in business-to-business publishing, with the last 24 years focused primarily on High Productivity Computing (HPC) technologies.

Tom has been internationally acknowledged as a pioneer in the electronic publishing industry. In the late eighties Tom launched an Internet-based version of Supercomputing Review titled SUPERnet, the very first paid subscription, paid advertising internet publication, followed by the highly successful HPCwire in the early nineties.

Tom is a frequent speaker at global industry events. He has served as a leader and member of many committees and organizations including the Open Grid Forum's Awareness Council, SC Industrial Advisory Committee, Humanities Arts Social Sciences Awareness Council (HASTAC), the Institute for Computing in Humanities, Arts and Social Science (iCHASS) at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the San Diego Men's Leadership Forum. He also serves as a Board member of The National University Institute and is a past board member of The LUX Art Institute. In 2002, Tom was awarded the inaugural HPC Industry Recognition Award.

Tom was born on Guam and raised in Napa Valley, California. He did his undergraduate work in Political Science at University of California, Davis. Tom currently lives in La Jolla, California. He is an avid skier and weekend golfer.

Jeff Hyman, President and Group Publisher

Jeff brings 30 years of sales and management experience, and is responsible for worldwide sales for the company's broad line of products. Jeff was Vice President of Sales for IDG's Bio-ITWorld magazine, whose focus is on HPC used specifically within the life sciences to accelerate the pace of drug discovery and development. Prior to IDG, Jeff held sales positions at CMP's InformationWeek and CMGI's Engage Technologies. Jeff holds a BS from Babson College and an MBA from Suffolk University. He resides in Methuen, MA with his son Jack (a freshman at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California) and his pure bred Bichon Frise "The Maya Bean".

Isaac Lopez, Associate Publisher

As associate publisher of HPC in the Cloud, Isaac Lopez is tasked on business development and global sales strategies, increasing the array of product and service offerings to customers and continuing to grow the publications' subscriber base globally. A public relations and marketing professional, Lopez' career spans over 10 years in the high technology industry. Lopez originally joined Tabor Communications in 2007 as a Marketing and Brand Manager and was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2008. In part due to his expertise marketing a technology publication, the company was able to expand their portfolio in April of 2010 with the introduction of HPC in the Cloud, a sister publication to HPCwire, designed to address the unique needs of the technical cloud computing industry within the high performance computing community.

Isaac graduated in 1999 from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Public Relations.

Isaac currently resides in the Portland, Oregon area (Vancouver, WA) with his wife, 3 year old son, and a newborn baby girl (Sept 2010). In his spare time he enjoys backpacking, snowboarding, cycling, photography, and the outdoors in general.

Mitchell D. Becker, Senior Account Executive

Mitch Becker is a Senior Account Executive at Tabor Communications. He brings with him nineteen years of experience in marketing management, developing marketing strategies, organizing marketing events, promotions, and Public Relations.

Mitch is in charge of HPC in the Cloud's Job Bank and Events advertising sales.

In the past Mitch's roles included such positions as Director of Marketing, where he managed the inception and marketing promotion activities, advertising, web content, collateral, tradeshows, seminars, e-mail and direct mail campaigns and all lead generation activities and PR.

Mitch received his Bachelor of Science and Associates of Applied Science Degrees at Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale, IL.

Ana Vasquez, Sales Operations Manager

Ana Vasquez is the Sales Operations Manager for all Tabor Communications' publications. With over 10 years of administrative experience she has been instrumental in helping TCI achieve its yearly revenue goals. Her current role also enables her to work hand in hand with TCI's clients in executing their advertising strategies.

Caroline Connor, Director of Marketing

Caroline Connor is a technology marketing professional with over 12 years of global experience in marketing communications, product marketing and channel marketing roles across software and hardware environments for both Fortune 500 and start-up companies. Caroline's background in the High Performance Computing (HPC) marketing began while working for Sun Microsystems and later, for SGI. Caroline has since expanded her marketing expertise working with a broad range of technology solutions providers including Bell Microproducts, ClearSpeed Technology, Longstone Consulting and most recently, at Oracle. A Portland, Oregon native and resident of Silicon Valley, California, Caroline loves to write, ski, travel and meet interesting people.

Matt Walters, Sr. Marketing Operations Manager

Matt joined Tabor Communications Inc. in April of 2010, where he institutes creative e-marketing strategies for client/partner relationships through web, print and multimedia design and production. As Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, Matt handles production and delivery of both internal and external advertising campaign elements including audio, video, email, and graphic design. Matt resides in Vancouver, Washington with his son Jaeden.
